Kylie has been a physiotherapist for almost 30yrs. She is trusted and recommended by local and Sydney-based GP’s, Gynaecologists, Obstetricians, Urologists, Sexual Health Physicians, Pain Specialists, and Colorectal Surgeons.
She has been a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Women’s, Men’s, and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Australia ever since she graduated. She has been a long-standing member of a committee responsible for delivering continuing education to her peers, and has presented and tutored at some of these workshops and courses. She has been a visiting scholar at Sydney Medical School Nepean in the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a member of the Continence Foundation Australia.
Kylie has lived and worked in the Penrith/Blue Mountains region most of her life. She graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, returning a few years later to complete a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy, which gave her advanced skills in spinal and manual therapy and clinical reasoning.
In 2003 she graduated from Melbourne University with a Postgraduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. Since then she has kept up to date by attending conferences and courses in topics as diverse as Trauma Informed Care and Practice, Prolapse Assessment and Pessary Fitting, Male and Female Sexual Function, Bowel Management, Pelvic Pain, Pregnancy Pelvic Girdle Pain, Recurrent UTI, and Childhood Continence and Bedwetting.
Kylie has provided educational seminars to local community groups such as the Prostate Cancer Support Group, the Australian Breastfeeding Association, Penrith Senior Citizens, Blue Mountains and Penrith Womens Health Centres, the Continence Foundation, and even Mountain Swim.
Kylie is mother to 3 children, so she understands that life can be messy, and things don’t always go according to plan. However, she also knows that it is possible to take charge and achieve your health goals with good support and the right advice.
Kylie endeavours to practice what she preaches by maintaining an active lifestyle. When not canyoning, bushwalking or camping, she can be found in the gym, on her mountain bike, or churning up laps in the pool.
